About the Tournament

A celebration of community, charity, and the enduring legacy of two beloved friends.

Our Story

The Make-A-Wish Memorial Golf Tournament was founded by a group of close friends united by their love of golf and their commitment to giving back to the community.

After losing two of their most beloved members, Cesar Covarrubias and Tim Foughty, the group decided to honor their legacy by continuing the tournament in their names.

Each year, participants come together not just to play golf, but to celebrate the lives of two remarkable people and raise money for children with critical illnesses.

Why We Play

Golf has always been more than a sport — it is a way to build friendships, celebrate life, and give back. Every year, this tournament brings together players of all skill levels for a day that honors our friends and supports children with critical illnesses through the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

In Loving Memory

This tournament exists because of two extraordinary people whose love for the game and for others continues to inspire us.

Cesar Covarrubias

Cesar Covarrubias

Cesar was a devoted friend, family man, and passionate golfer who brought joy and laughter to every round. His generosity and spirit live on in every tournament we play in his honor.

Tim Foughty

Tim Foughty

Tim was a cornerstone of our group — always the first to organize a round and the last to leave. His dedication to charity and community continues to inspire all who knew him.

Their Legacy Lives On

Every dollar raised, every wish granted, and every smile created is a tribute to Cesar and Tim. We carry their memory forward with pride and purpose.
